Conversations with young people about substance use
About this Event
Join us for a training session led by Anita Gagen, Team Manager at The Matthew Project. The Matthew Project supports young people affected by substance use across Norfolk. With more than 25 years of experience in youth work and working directly with young people in a variety of settings, Anita brings a wealth of practical strategies and valuable expertise.
In this session, you will:
- Explore ways to engage young people in conversations about substance use, including using screening tools
- Discuss the benefits of multi-agency working
- Understand the support available for children and young people affected by substance use
- Learn about resources, guidance, and legal responsibilities to promote positive interventions for families
This session is ideal for professionals working with young people who want to develop their knowledge and confidence in having conversations around substance use.
Location: The Matthew Project, 70-80 Oak Street, Norwich NR3 3AQ
Parking is not available for this training. At The Matthew Project, spaces are prioritised for service users attending appointments and those with accessibility needs.
