Conversations with Friends returns with an intimate evening at The Wine Room, bringing together exceptional food and thoughtful conversation.
Our third event explores creativity, business, friendship, and the future of fashion through the lens of three people who, at their core, are friends.
Joining us for the evening are Lauren Tapper, co-founder of Harris Tapper, Kayla Jurlina, Creative Director, and Wynn Hamlyn.
Having studied fashion together, their careers have taken remarkably different paths. Lauren went on to build one of New Zealand's leading fashion labels. Kayla forged an independent career as a Creative Director. Wynn built an internationally recognised brand before making the difficult decision to close it after more than a decade.
Together, they'll reflect on the realities of building creative careers, before opening a broader conversation about the future of New Zealand fashion, changing consumer behaviour, and what it takes to sustain a creative business today.
This won't be a conversation built around headlines or sensational moments. Instead, it will create space for an honest, thoughtful discussion that people rarely get the opportunity to hear.
The conversation will unfold over a shared dining experience created by Chef Alfie and The Wine Room team, with guests seated around one long table designed to encourage conversation.
As always with Conversations with Friends, the evening is intentionally relaxed. Guests will eat, drink and listen throughout the discussion before staying on to connect with others in the room.
