CONVERSATION AND SOUPConversation and Soup is a regular gathering at Bybi for exploring different perspectives and experimenting with conversation formats from different cultures and traditions. It is free and for anyone in the Bybi community who is interested.
Since the real world feels pretty heavy in these times, we thought we'd have some fun and try a conversation where we mix a contemporary issue with a bit of fantasy.
Let's imagine a scenario in a parallel universe, where a powerful country has declared an intention to buy the moon. What does this mean for the real and imagined creatures and things for whom the moon has meaning?
A Parliament of Things:

In the Parliament of Things, it is not just the humans that speak, but also voices like animals, objects and feelings that contribute to the conversation. Participants try and speak using these voices - changing positions and exploring a question from all sides. It can be funny, moving, eye-opening … as well as an important practice of community building.
The format is inspired by the French philosopher Bruno Latour and practices from many indigenous cultures.
It doesn't matter if you didn't come before. All are welcome!
