Unlock one of the most beautiful and expressive rhythms in Cuban dance : dancing "a contratiempo" This workshop will guide you through the timing, feel, and flow of dancing on the “and,” and how to effortlessly switch between tiempo and contratiempo. NOT A PARTNERWORK WORKSHOP
Schedule:
10:00 – 10:15 AM | Check-in & Welcome
10:15 – 11:30 AM | Contratiempo timing fundamentals, body movement and steps.
11:30 – 11:45 AM | Pause & Snacks (fruit and tea provided)
11:45 – 12:45 PM | How to transition between tiempo and contratiempo. Apply all concepts in a fun and musical routine, with plenty of practice to internalize the feel.

Dancers who want to expand their timing skills, refine their connection to the music, and gain the freedom to adapt their timing with confidence.
