Contraflow

Contraflow poetically weaves themes of emotional tension, embodied contradiction, and the intimacy of these experiences into an entangled portrayal of what it looks and feels like to hold opposing truths at the same time. Built upon the personal experiences of 6 dance artists and their subjective experiences with grief, fear, discomfort, and social contradictions, Contraflow serves as a meditation on embodied contradiction. Over the span of 45 minutes, the dancers offer unique, embodied physicalities that move through areas of tension, noise, exhaustion, and tenderness, all which counterflow throughout their bodies and extend into each other.

Contraflow reminds us that during moments of embodied contradiction, tension, and discomfort, nuance radiates through the spaces between reality and possibility.

Contraflow premieres June 26-27, 2026 at 7pm in the Fasseass Whitebox in the Menomonee Club Drucker Center (1535 North Dayton St). Contraflow is the first evening-length dance performance created and produced by kt williams + artists.

Ticketing Statement

We believe dance should be accessible to all. To reserve your seat, tickets for this performance are sold as a "suggested donation" of $25, and we ask that donations can be made via our Fractured Atlas crowdfunding page here. If you’re able to give a little more, please know your donation will be given directly to the performers following the performance.

Seats can be reserved online, or at the door, on a first-come, first-served basis. Limit 1 ticket per order.

Parking

Free parking on site at The Menomnee Club - available until full. Overflow parking can be validated $5 for 2 hour parking one block south at 1467 N Dayton. Additional street parking available on surrounding side streets (Blackhawk St and W**d St).
