Contemporary Now – Edition III

Contemporary Now · Edition III returns to Chennai with Practices in Continuum: Tracing the Present, bringing together 66 artists, seven leading galleries, and an expansive city-wide programme of exhibitions, conversations, walkthroughs, workshops, and open houses.

Hosted across two floors of Lalit Kala Akademi with partner programmes at more than 10 venues across the city, the exhibition explores the evolving ideas shaping contemporary art today. Featuring works by artists including Anita Dube, Atul Dodiya, Anju Dodiya, Jitish Kallat, Mithu Sen, N.S. Harsha, Raqs Media Collective, Reena Saini Kallat, and many others, the exhibition examines themes of memory, migration, ecology, identity, materiality, and lived experience through diverse artistic practices.

Presented by seven leading galleries, Ashvita's, Chemould Prescott Road, Chatterjee & Lal, Experimenter, Project 88, TARQ, and Vadehra Art Gallery - Contemporary Now · Edition III extends beyond the exhibition space with a vibrant programme of artist walkthroughs, panel discussions, open houses, and special exhibitions, transforming Chennai into a city-wide destination for contemporary art.
