Leadspire Academy proudly presents Actor's Training Dojo, a dynamic and immersive workshop designed for emerging and professional performing artists who are eager to hone their acting craft. This transformative experience focuses on developing imagination, physical discipline, and open improvisation to unlock an actor's full potential.Participants will be guided through two renowned acting methodologies:
- Suzuki Method of Actor's Training – A rigorous physical training approach that enhances an actor’s body awareness, strength, and energy, helping performers cultivate presence and control on stage.
- The Viewpoints – A framework for spontaneous and collaborative performance, focusing on movement, space, and time to enhance creativity and connection with fellow performers.

Every Wednesday, starting from 5th March 2025
Duration: 3 months/ semester
Time: 7:30 PM – 8.45 PM (Beginner) | 9pm- 10.15pm (Advanced)

🎭 Final Presentation:
*A special workshop presentation will be held on the last Wednesday of the third month, allowing participants to showcase their progress and skills.

About The Teaching Artist:
Soonufat Supramaniam (aka Sir Soon)
As the Founder of Leadspire Academy and Teach For Malaysia’s Teaching Alumni, he believes that mapping the creative potential of all children in Malaysia through performing arts education is at the core of transforming potential. In the past 5 years, Soon has been invited to conferences championed by educators by educators at Abu Dhabi, Cambodia, London and India. Two of his students’ theatrical productions titled “Find Your Light” and “Singing To The Lions” were featured as Youth Production for George Town Festival 2017 and 2018 respectively. “Find Your Light 2017” has also won the Best English Language Program 2018 in ASEAN Region. His focus on mastery based learning, creativity in teaching and learning as well as interest in innovative practices has led him to win Teach For Malaysia’s YTL Transformational Teaching Award in year 2018 and Queen’s Commonwealth Trust Funding in Year 2020. His performance and teaching background with a performance company in Australia from year 2009- 2012 has taught him to value performance art education and we should work collaboratively to promote the importance of arts education in Malaysia.
