Container Gardening with Pettengill Farm ***Members only event.****
PROGRAM:
The demonstration will cover how to create a mixed spring container using flowers, bulbs, and foliage. Hort Club members will work in eight small groups to follow along and create containers for the upcoming plant sale fundraiser. Pettengill Farm will provide written care instructions, and the session will encourage open discussion and idea sharing.
SPEAKER BIOS:
Michele Flanders is lead container designer for Pettengill Farm’s Petal Pusher division. A Newburyport native with 35+ years of gardening experience, blends her watercolor artistry with a love of plants to create simple, beautiful designs.
Christy Richenburg is co-owner of Pettengill Farm. After a 30-year career in graphic design, she now combines her creative background with a lifelong passion for gardening inspired by her mother-in-law, Jan Pettengill Richenburg.
Mary Sylva is Pettengill Farm’s general manager and has been with the team since 2012. Following a 25-year career in juvenile justice, she now works in her dream role, rooted in a lifelong love of gardening.
