About this Event
Agriculture and Consumer Horticulture agent Emilee Morrison of Onslow County will share information about how to use native plants in container plantings. As a contributor to the Coastal Landscapes Initiative publication, “Greening Your Space: Creating Eco-Friendly Container Gardens for Coastal North Carolina”, Emilee has experience with designing container plantings that are both aesthetically pleasing and ecologically impactful. Participants will learn container gardening concepts, like making sure to include a thriller, spiller, and filler, while also participating in a planting demo as Extension staff arrange a planter to be donated to a local community organization. Please join us Thursday, September 18th at 6:30pm in the New Hanover County Arboretum auditorium.
