Construction of Style Opening Celebration
About this Event
The project uplifts some of the many Philadelphia-based wall writers who influenced global graffiti culture in the late 1960s—a legacy that has inspired the adjacent, large-scale collaborative work by 11 local artists.
Curated by Phil Asbury, the Construction of Style pays homage to the legends of Brewerytown with work designed by Dawud Anyabwile, Sew SM, Imse, Saoka, Distort BAMC, Esteme, Busta, Rew, Diana Gonzalez, Efrain Herrera, and Kien Nguyen.
Coinciding with the 55th anniversary of the long-running ICP Graffiti Club, the dedication will include live painting, food, music, an immersive audio tour, and the opportunity to fellowship with the artist community.
