About the conference
The Construction for Women Next Gen Conference is designed to support, connect and inspire the next generation of talent across construction, property, infrastructure and the wider built environment.
Taking place in Manchester, the conference will bring together emerging professionals, students, apprentices, graduates, career changers and future industry leaders alongside employers and experienced professionals from across the sector.
The event will provide an opportunity for attendees to:

Individuals may apply directly by completing the CFW Next Gen Conference application form.
You will be asked to provide some brief information about:
- Your current role, course or career stage.
- Your connection to construction or the built environment.
- Why you would like to attend.
- What you hope to gain from the conference.
- Any accessibility or reasonable adjustment requirements.

How organisations can nominate attendees
Employers, colleges, universities, training providers, professional bodies and other organisations are encouraged to nominate individuals who would benefit from attending.
Suitable nominees may include:
- Apprentices and trainees.
- Graduates and placement students.
- Early-career employees.
- Emerging leaders.
- Individuals who would benefit from greater confidence, networks or industry exposure.
- People who have demonstrated potential, commitment or an interest in progressing within the built environment.
Each nomination will be reviewed by Construction for Women. Approved nominees will then be contacted directly and invited to complete their Eventbrite registration.

An organisation may submit up to 5 nominations through the form.
How places will be allocated
The number of places available is limited.
Applications and nominations will be reviewed to help create a balanced and valuable attendee group representing different:
- Career stages.
- Employers and organisations.
- Disciplines and professions.
- Education and training routes.
- Backgrounds and experiences.
- Parts of the construction and built-environment sector.
Applications will not necessarily be assessed solely on a first-come, first-served basis.
Submitting an application or nomination is an expression of interest and does not guarantee attendance.
Applicants and nominees will receive one of the following outcomes:
- An invitation to confirm a place.
- Notification that they have been placed on the reserve list.
- Notification that a place is not available on this occasion.
- Confirming an approved place
Successful applicants and nominees will receive an approval email containing a private Eventbrite registration link.
The registration must be completed by the deadline stated in the email to confirm attendance.
Places that are not confirmed by the deadline may be released to someone on the reserve list.
A place is only confirmed once the approved attendee has completed the private Eventbrite registration and received their confirmation email.
Important information
- A nomination does not automatically guarantee a place.
- Please do not attend unless you have received confirmation of an approved place.
- Places may be subject to eligibility and capacity.
- Approved attendees may be asked to reconfirm their attendance closer to the event.
- Please notify Construction for Women as soon as possible if you are no longer able to attend so that the place can be offered to someone else.
- Accessibility and reasonable adjustment requirements can be provided through the application form.
