Console to Concert - A Celebration of Gaming & Anime Music
About this Event
Last year, we brought you music from different cultures. This year, we are joining forces with our students to bring you an afternoon celebrating the things they love most outside of music, of course: anime and gaming.
For many of our students, anime and gaming are more than just hobbies. They are stories, characters, worlds, memories and soundtracks that have shaped the way they listen, imagine and create. This year, we want to celebrate the powerful, emotional, exciting and sometimes unexpected music that comes from these worlds, and appreciate the music for what it is.
Audiences can expect performances inspired by games, films and series including Zelda, Super Mario, Pokémon, Roblox, Tetris, Studio Ghibli and more.
The afternoon will feature students performing across piano, voice, violin, guitar, bass, drums and band performances, bringing together music from magical fantasy worlds, iconic game themes, anime soundtracks and student-arranged favourites.
Whether you are a parent, family friend, supporter, or simply a lover of gaming and anime, this performance is set to be an inspiring afternoon created by the students, their stories, and the games and worlds they love.

Get involved and celebrate your song!
We want all our participants, yes, the crowd are participants too, to wear their favourite anime or gaming costume and join the fun. Costumes are optional, but highly encouraged.
Please make sure costumes are comfortable, safe to move in, and suitable for performing or sitting in the audience.
