Considering a career in therapy?We’re hosting a Meet the Therapists Night at Mt Hope Counseling Center, created specifically for students and anyone exploring the mental health field. Please join Shira Hearn LMFT, Cassidy Robinson PLMFT and Crystal Whitesell LPC on April 23rd at 7:30 pm at Mt Hope Mt. Hope Counseling Center.
This will be an honest and practical evening where you can meet real clinicians, hear how they found their path, and ask questions about what this work is actually like beyond the classroom.
One of the featured parts of the night will be a clear conversation about the different licensure pathways, including PsyD, PhD, LCSW, LPC and LMFT.
We’ll help break down:
- why these professions all exist
- what is different
- what is the same
- what each degree allows you to do
- what school and supervision really look like
- how to know which route may fit you best
We’ll also talk about:
- graduate school
- internships and practicum opportunities
- specialties
- sustainable careers in mental health
