Minnesota Women in Conservation is bringing together brewers, farmers, conservation professionals and community members to discuss the importance of water quality at "Conservation on Tap" gatherings. Join us at Outstate Brewing for our second gathering of the series!
"Conservation On Tap" events are informal gatherings that allow participants like you to drive the conversation. Topics often include discussions of water quality, cover crops, perennial vegetation, and edge-of-field practices. We'll start by hearing from one of the brewers at Outstate Brewing sharing why clean water matters for their brewing process. Conservation professionals will follow and provide short presentations. The majority of the event is for connecting with community members and learning what assistance is available to landowners and farmers who seek to implement more conservation practices on their land. Come learn about which actions influence our access to clean water and steps you can take to participate in protecting our waters.
MNWiC will provide pizza from Ole & Lena’s Pizzeria, but guests are welcome to purchase from the brewery at any time.
A big thank you to Outstate Brewing for hosting this important conversation.

I’ve been with NRCS for nearly three years and truly enjoy wearing many hats to help producers address their resource concerns. I earned my master’s degree in Environmental and Conservation Sciences from NDSU in 2022, where I studied seed sourcing for grassland restoration. Prairie plants are my passion, and I especially love talking with people about site-adapted, resilient seed mixes. My partner and I live in Wahpeton, ND, with our dog, Peeve. We enjoy hunting (in my case, mostly for flowers), fishing, and exploring our natural areas. At home, I’m in my second year of maintaining a regenerative garden, incorporating no-till and cover-crop practices.
