About our artist:Veronica Steiner is a Florida-born watercolor artist whose work brings a unique and captivating lens to the often-overlooked wildlife of the Sunshine State. Veronica's journey began in Tampa, FL and took root in the classroom, where she spent over a decade as a middle school art teacher after graduating from the University of Florida. In recent years, Steiner transitioned into a full-time freelance artist. Her artistic breakthrough came through a combination of social media exposure and collaborations with local brands, as well as creating custom art for craft beer labels. What sets Steiner apart is her commitment to portraying misunderstood or underappreciated animals, like alligators and other Florida wildlife, in a way that emphasizes their beauty rather than their reputation. Working almost exclusively in watercolor, she hand- paints every piece, including her commercial projects, before digitizing them. Her work is easily recognized by its delicate detail, emotional resonance, and commitment to showcasing nature's complexity.
