About this Event
Join us for this Wilder Northumberland conservation grazing event at Longframlington Village Hall on the 21st May from 17:30 - 20:30.
There will be a series of talks from Flexigraze, Monil, Lifescape, Wild Kielder, Juliet Rogers and NWT's Lee Rankin, followed by some time for questions and networking. For more information on those speaking, see below.
Flexigraze Community Interest Company is a non-profit making organisation which helps land managers to achieve specialist conservation grazing on agricultural land and conservation sites.
Monil is a Norwegian company which provides robust virtual fences to cattle farmers for better livestock health and grazing management.
The Lifescape Project was established by a team of individuals who, motivated by the significant degradation of the world’s ecosystems in recent times, wanted to make a real difference in the protection of the global ecosystem and undertake ecological restoration. They will be delivering a talk on the legalities of conservation grazing.
Juliet Rogers works with Exmoor Ponies and will be delivering a talk on how ponies can be used in conservation grazing.
The Wild Kielder area in Northumberland covers at least 6,000 hectares and the project will deliver landscape-scale ecological enhancements that will benefit both nature and people. They will be delivering a talk about their grazing plans.
Lee Rankin, Wilder Druridge Estates Officer at NWT will be delivering a talk on grazing plans for West Chevington nature reserve and some of the grazing that as been made possible through the Biodiversity Boost project.
