About this Event
If you have attened a Support Group in the past with Bri's Lodge you are elgible to register for this group. Starting December 16th, this group will be held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month.
Connections of Hope provides a safe, supportive community where individuals can share their experiences, emotions, and journey through grief and loss, connecting with others who understand and offer hope and healing. Here are some key features and characteristics of such groups:
1. Accessibility and Flexibility: Open groups allow participants to join at any time, rather than requiring them to start at the beginning of a program. This flexibility helps individuals find support as soon as they need it, regardless of where they are in their grieving process.
2. Facilitators: Groups are typically led by trained professionals or experienced volunteers who can guide discussions, provide resources, and ensure a safe space for participants. Facilitators may offer tools and strategies to help manage grief.
3. Peer Support: The group setting offers a unique opportunity for participants to connect with others who are experiencing similar feelings. This peer support can be invaluable, as it helps reduce feelings of isolation often associated with grief.
4. Confidentiality: Trust is fundamental in support groups, and confidentiality is typically emphasized. Participants are encouraged to share openly, knowing that their privacy will be respected.
5. Variety of Activities: Sessions may include different activities such as open discussions, guided exercises, creative expression, or educational components about the grieving process. We will not be going over the Touchstones agian in this group.
6. Non-Judgmental Environment: Participants are encouraged to share their thoughts and feelings without fear of judgment. This openness helps individuals express complex emotions that might be difficult to convey in other settings.
7. Diverse Participants: Open groups often include people from various backgrounds and with different kinds of losses, enriching the conversation with multiple perspectives.
8. Emotional Support and Validation: The group dynamic allows for emotional validation, where participants can feel understood and supported by those who have faced similar challenges.
9. Regular Meetings: Meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and will be ongoing.
Overall, our open support group for grief and loss focus on helping individuals navigate their feelings, find comfort in shared experiences, and eventually work toward healing and acceptance in their own time.
