Connecting through Country weaving experience
About this Event
Participants will create small woven fish traps or other water-inspired pieces while learning about the deep cultural connection Gumbaynggirr people have with waterways, rivers and traditional weaving practices. The workshop naturally encourages storytelling, conversation and cultural connection.
Tickets are limited and can be purchased for the subsidised price of $15 by residents of the Coffs Harbour LGA.
This event is held as part of the City’s National Water Week (NWW) program. The 2026 NWW theme is ‘Water is life’.
