Vertrekkend vanuit de Khayal-collectie (lente-zomer 2025) biedt 'JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE - KHAYAL' een inkijk in de wereld van de Antwerpse modeontwerper Jan-Jan Van Essche. De tentoonstelling vormt een uitnodiging om het verleden en de toekomst in het nu te ervaren.
De komende maanden nodigt hij leden uit zijn community uit om verscheidene aspecten van hun leefwereld te delen via een gevarieerd randprogramma met muziek, dans en film.
Op 7 februari cureert Atelier Solarshop een textielavond met gastsprekers Rituraj Dewan (7Weaves) en indigo-expert Aboubakar Fofana. Tijdens deze avond kan de bezoeker proeven van de kookkunsten van Charlotte Koopman (Otark) en een bezoek brengen aan de tentoonstelling. Emre Gultekin & Malabika Brahma vullen de avond met muziek.

Based on his 2025 Spring-Summer collection, 'Khayal', 'JAN-JAN VAN ESSCHE - KHAYAL' offers insight into the world of Antwerp fashion designer, Jan-Jan Van Essche. The exhibition is an invitation to experience both the past and the future, all in the now.
Jan-Jan Van Essche has invited members of his own community to share aspects of their lives by way of an associated and varied programme of music, dance and film.
On 7 February, Atelier Solarshop curates a textiles evening with guest speakers Rituraj Dewan (7Weaves) and indigo expert Aboubakar Fofana. On this occasion, visitors can experience the culinary artistry of Charlotte Koopman (Otark) and visit the exhibition. Emre Gultekin & Malabika Brahma provide music for the evening.
