A walking tour exploring how city-wide and local government, alongside community voices, shape a more inclusive public realm.
About this Event

As part of the NLA's London Festival of Architecture, we are hosting a guided walking tour through the emerging Ilford arrival sites; new pocket park, a pedestrian and cycle bridge, and new river paths. This tour explores how opportunities to activate connections to the River Roding with new public realm sites will build wider opportunities for town centre improvements and growth. We will also explore how community voices are shaping more inclusive public and discuss how local knowledge can influence briefs, design decisions and long-term stewardship. Participants will gain insight into the role of community-led processes in regeneration, while experiencing how emerging spaces in Ilford are beginning to reconnect people, place and landscape.
