Learnings and next steps from the DVVA's Fairer Futures Partnership commissioned work.
About this Event

In October 2025, Dundee Volunteer and Voluntary Action (DVVA) commissioned research work to gain a broad understanding of the role and involvement of the Third Sector, the local TSI, in the Fairer Futures Partnership (FFP), in view of identifying areas for development and strengthening its future involvement with the FFP programme.

This research was commissioned through Dundee's involvement in the Fairer Futures Programme delivered by Children in Scotland and GCVS, and funded by Scottish Government.

After an extensive programme of engagement with Third Sector and Statutory partners, a summary report and its recommendations are now ready for distribution. DVVA is inviting Third Sector partners to learn about the findings and recommendations from the FFP research work, and also engage in dynamic, forward-thinking conversations about our collective approach to the whole family support model in relation to poverty and inequalities.

Participants will have the opportunity to:

· Hear about the learning and recommendations from the Fairer Futures Partnerships research

· Reflect on key findings from the research work and participate in table discussions

· Understand the remit and priorities of Dundee TSI, and role and key activities of DVVA

· Learn about tools, frameworks and good practice examples on meaningful engagement in strategic design and lived experience involvement

· Contribute to table discussions on key themes from the research work

· Play a key role in shaping and influencing the next steps

Aims and objectives of this engagement session include:

· Identify opportunities and drivers for change to strengthen our collective involvement and contribution to the whole family approach

· Revitalise the links between Dundee TSI and the local Third Sector, and forms of engagement going forward

· Draw on our collective strengths and assets to constructively build on the meaningful partnership work that is already in place to address cross-cutting challenges and priorities

· Maximise the benefits of peer support opportunities and knowledge/resource sharing

We hope you can be part of this conversation and influence collaborative plans going forward.
