About this Event
Connect To: Creative Network is a student-led programme that is funded and facilitated by Creative Shift at UAL. Together we shape the network and support students to 'make things happen' and 'try things out' by working on collaborative projects. We aim to foster a sense of community and bridge the gap between education and industry.
About Connect To Meet Up
Each month we meet to catch up, connect and share our creativity. We are a community who understand that taking steps to making a living doing what you love isn't easy. At our Meet Ups you can make your own connections with experienced industry professionals, staff and other students at UAL to help bridge the gap between education and industry.
Our speakers come from a wide range of backgrounds that reflect the diversity of students in our community. You'll have the opportunity to ask questions, shout out projects you're working on and head about opportunities and events you can get involved with. At Connect To we are always sharing tips and trick to help you move forward and make money from your creativity.

Who's the speaker?
Each month we have a new guest speaker, as they are confirmed we'll update this section with everything you need too know.
When are the Meet Ups?
This year we have 8 Meet Ups, you're welcome to join as many as you like, we'd love to see you at all 8 but understand if for any reason you can't make it.
They're usually on the first Thursday of the month. All dates are included below:

Who We Support
Creative Shift, are a team dedicated to supporting students who meet the following criteria, in line with UAL’s Access and Participation Plan (PDF 350KB):You must currently be a Home (UK) student studying on an undergraduate degree course at UAL and one or more of the following statements apply to you:
- I am a Black, Asian or Minority Ethnic student.
- My parent(s)/ guardian(s) have not completed a University Degree.
- I receive the UAL bursary.
- I am a care leaver or care giver.
- I am disabled according to the Equality Act 2010.
- I have taken part in the UAL Insights programme.
Creative Shift will also consider students on a case by case basis when a referral has been made by UAL staff. Please refer students to by emailing [email protected]. Decisions will be made by at least 2 managers of the Creative Shift team.
