Arup and Connect Out are delighted to invite you to our 12th Annual Lecture, a cornerstone event that brings us all together for an evening of insightful discussions and networking. Taking place on National Coming Out Day, it’s a great opportunity to come along and celebrate with us. This year’s lecture is hosted in partnership with Connect Ability, Arup’s disability network.

Connect Out are Arup’s award-winning LGBTQ+ employee resource group. We champion a working environment that respects, welcomes and supports LGBTQ+ professionals, and empowers them to perform to their fullest potential, contribute to the success of the firm, and shape a better world. While our mindset is global, we are rooted in our local communities, and we aim to reflect the diverse lived experiences of the communities in which we work.

What to expect:

Introduced by Connect Out’s Arup UKIMEA Board Sponsor, Tony Lovell, expect an evening of meaningful discussions with likeminded people on LGBTQ+ inclusion both in and out of the workplace..

Keynote Speaker: Toby Mildon

As a prominent activist and consultant working to help organisations build inclusive workspaces, Toby will be sharing his personal journey, offering a unique perspective on the intersection of disability and LGBTQ+ inclusion. He has extensive experience in this field, with a background in user experience design and having help D&I leadership roles at major organisations like Deloitte and the BBC.
