About this Event
Join the Engage reps for Scotland for a day of reflection and connection.
What to Expect:
10:30-11:00am, registration and light networking.
11:00-11:30am, welcome and introductions.
11:30am-1pm, Task Party, led by Keisha Rowe, Widening Participation Development Officer at Glasgow School of Art and Freelance Artist Educator. A Task Party is simple: write a task, pick out a task and then bring it to life using everyday materials and repeat. All tasks will be creative prompts but we invite you to reflect on your path as an educator, share your experiences and connect with others in a session built for - and by - educators.
1-1:45pm, lunch
1:45-2:45pm, creative tour of GoMA, led by Angela Massafra, Learning and Access Curator, Gallery of Modern Art.
2:45-3pm, round up of the day.
Lunch
A free lunch will be provided for all attendees. We are able to cater to vegan, vegetarian and gluten free diets. We can also cater to other allergies upon request, please state your dietary requirements when completing your ticket order.
Travel Bursaries
To remove barriers to participation, we have a limited amount of funds able to go towards travel expenses for participants who would not be otherwise able to attend. Participants must request this when booking and the Engage Scotland reps will then approve the requests that we can afford/are justified. Please note we have limited funds in this area, and as such may offer a contribution towards travel costs in order to support as many attendees as possible to attend in a fair manner.
Access information for the venue can be found here: https://www.glasgowlife.org.uk/museums/venues/gallery-of-modern-art-goma#plan
