About this Event

This in-person event will take place at Glasgow Training Rooms, The Pentagon Centre, Washington Street, Glasgow G3 8AZ.

This CPD-accredited course from on early help for gambling is designed to help money guidance practitioners identify and support those at risk of, or experiencing, problem gambling. As part of this event, lunch will be served and time will be set aside for networking so attendees can take away new skills as well as new connections.

Please note once registered for this event on Eventbrite, you will be sent a registration link for Ygam to ensure you get your CPD recognition from them.

Who is this session for?

  • Money guidance practitioners from third, community, and public benefit sectors—if you’re a volunteer or member of staff and talk to people about money in your role, this session is for you!
  • Anyone working or volunteering with children, young people and adults who wants to learn about gambling and interventions to reduce harm.

What to expect

Through engaging, evidence-based training, attendees will:

  • Develop a deeper understanding of how gaming and gambling affect young people and adults' wellbeing.
  • Gain confidence in identifying early warning signs of problem gambling.
  • Learn practical strategies for intervention.

This session will be of particular interest for social workers, family support teams, early help practitioners, and similar professionals working with children, young people and families.
