About this Event
Community and Social Infrastructures: Research Impact as Transformative Practice.
Join us for a conference exploring how research can drive meaningful social change through collaboration, creativity, and community partnerships. Building on Beyond Gentrification: Latin American Market Tales in London, a British Academy-funded project at the University of Derby, the event brings together academics, practitioners, artists, and community organisations to examine research impact as a transformative practice. Led by Dr Verónica Posada Álvarez, in partnership with Wards Corner Community Benefit Society, the project is part of the University of Derby's Social Infrastructure Research Group, led by Professor Alessio D'Angelo, and highlights the vital role of social infrastructure in creating more inclusive and resilient communities.
