Join longtime potter Frank Gray for hands-on pottery throwing lessons in the park!

Frank began his pottery journey in 1969 at East Denver High School and never looked back. With mentors ranging from a ceramic engineering professor to one of Colorado’s top production potters, Frank has spent decades honing his craft. Alongside his wife Susan, he ran a large retail pottery studio in Littleton for 15 years, followed by a 20-year stint operating a bed and breakfast in Woodland Park.

Now semi-retired and newly closer to the park, Frank is excited to expand his outdoor pottery throwing lessons. These sessions are designed for absolute beginners and experienced potters alike, with a focus on exploration and fun, rather than finished products.

• Two pottery wheels available at the park
• Small group sizes (2–4 people per session)
• Perfect for friends or family to attend together!
• All materials included: prepared clay, tools, and expert guidance
• Casual, supportive environment with no pressure—just creativity!
