Concerts in the Park are BACK!
Join us every Friday night at 7:00pm from June 13-August 22 (no concert 6/20 or 7/4) for free music in City Park. Bring your blankets, chairs, snacks, and dancing shoes!
PLEASE NOTE - Blankets, chairs, and other belongings cannot place place in the grass area until after 3:00pm.
Please help us keep all concertgoers safe by following these important park rules:
• no alcohol
• no glass containers
• no smoking, except in designated areas
• dogs must be kept on leash
About the Band
Orquesta Borinquen features some of the youngest and most talented musicians in the Bay Area salsa scene today. Lead and directed by Bill Ortega Jr., Borinquen always puts on an electrifying show and then some.
Orquesta Borinquen is one of the few bands who can range from salsa dura to salsa romantica in an authentic fashion, and lead singer Carlos Xavier, is a main contributor to that. Carlos has been singing with Borinquen for over 12 years and is a sought after vocalist in the Bay Area. His ability to authenticate styles comes from his upbringing in all different genres of music, and he is able carefully incorporate the necessary style to each song.
