Concert in the Atrium - Summer Edition
About this Event
An evening of genre-blending soundscapes hosted in the atrium of a 1930s heritage building in Centretown.
Musk Ox is an instrumental chamber folk trio featuring Raphael Weinroth-Browne (cello), Nathanael Larochette (guitar) and Erik Johnson-Scherger (violin). They create cinematic soundscapes that blend elements of modern classical, progressive folk, and atmospheric post-rock. IG: @muskoxofficial / @raphcello / @n_larochette / @johnsonscherger
Hazel Asghari & Omid Kalantari share a musical conversation between qanun and setar, weaving together the spirit of Persian traditions, beloved Middle Eastern melodies, and a touch of Western classical music into an intimate and cross-cultural musical journey. IG: @hazelasghari / @omid.setar.music
Kathryn Patricia is a loop pedal violist with a singular niche in music improvisation and contemporary classical performance. She obsesses over creating vibrantly animated and incandescently beautiful soundscapes. IG: @kathrynpatriciaviolist
[Host/Intro] Tyler Carlson captivates audiences through his soothing vocals, introspective lyrics, and fingerstyle guitar. His sound draws on the warmth of '70s folk and the candor of ’00s indie. IG: @tylercarlsonmusic
