Le pianiste Michel Reis, le bassiste Marc Demuth et le batteur Paul Wiltgen comptent parmi les musiciens de jazz les plus influents du Luxembourg. Ils ont formé le trio REIS DEMUTH WILTGEN en 1998 alors qu'ils étaient encore au lycée et ont joué régulièrement au Luxembourg et aux alentours pendant quelques années.
Le trio s'est reformé en 2011, désireux de partager ses expériences et sa nouvelle musique. Leur premier album éponyme, sorti sur le label Laborie Jazz, a reçu un accueil critique enthousiaste. Depuis, le groupe a tourné à travers le monde et s'est produit dans les plus grands festivals internationaux de jazz en Europe, en Asie, en Amérique du Nord et du Sud ainsi qu'en Afrique de l'Ouest.
Leur deuxième album, "Places In Between", a été enregistré à New York et est sorti en 2016 sur le label Double Moon Records. Aujourd'hui, le trio est signé sur le label italien CAM JAZZ, avec lequel il a enregistré deux albums : "Once In A Blue Moon" (2018) et leur plus récent, "SLY".
En 2026, Reis Demuth Wiltgen prévoit la sortie d'un projet orchestral ambitieux, en collaboration avec l'Orchestre Philharmonique du Luxembourg et deux musiciens de renommée mondiale : Vince Mendoza, chef d'orchestre et compositeur sept fois récompensé aux Grammy Awards, ainsi que le saxophoniste de jazz Joshua Redman.
En 2027, le trio sortira son sixième album, un enregistrement live capté au célèbre Cotton Club de Tokyo.

Pianist Michel Reis, bassist Marc Demuth and drummer Paul Wiltgen are three of Luxembourg’s most prominent jazz musicians. They formed the REIS DEMUTH WILTGEN Trio in 1998 while still in high school and performed on a regular basis in and around Luxembourg for a couple of years.
The trio reunited in 2011, eager to share their experiences and new music. Their self-titled first album was released on Laborie Jazz to widespread critical acclaim. Since the release, the band has toured extensively throughout the world and has appeared at major international jazz festivals in Europe, Asia, North and South America and Western Africa.
The band's sophomore album "Places In Between" was recorded in New York City and released on Double Moon Records in 2016. The trio is now signed to the Italian label CAM JAZZ for whom they have recorded two albums: “Once In A Blue Moon” (2018) and their latest release "SLY".
For 2026, Reis Demuth Wiltgen has planned the release of their orchestral project which features the Luxembourg Philharmonic Orchestra and two stellar collaborators from the United States: 7-time Grammy Award winning conductor and composer Vince Mendoza and the world-renowned jazz saxophonist Joshua Redman.
In 2027, the trio will release its sixth album, a live recording captured at Tokyo's renowned Cotton Club.
