The participants of Danish New Music Academy 2026 will perform works by nordic composers Kaija Saariaho, Christian Winther Christensen, Bergrún Snæbjörnsdóttir, Jeppe Ernst, Malin Bång, Frej Wedlund, Kirstine Lindemann and Peter Bruun.

About Danish New Music Academy:
The Danish New Music Academy is a 6-day music creation residential course for musicians and composers. The third edition will be held from the 3-8 August 2026 in Aarhus.
Danish New Music Academy lead by (composer/performer Emil Vijgen, violinist/performer Sofie Thorsbro Dan and saxophonist/performer Anja Nedremo) will gather a community of thirteen participants – six musicians and seven composers. The participants can be any age over 18, and can be at any stage in their career – pre-conservatory/university, current students, recent graduates, more experienced practitioners etc
Performers and composers will work together to stage events featuring works that will be created before and during the course.
