Concert 3: Ravel Quartet and Two World Premieres by Day

The second weekend of our 2024 season features performances on Saturday, August 10th and Sunday, August 11th in the magical acoustics of the Barrel Room at Appassionata Estate, home of J. Christopher Wines in Newberg, OR. These performances showcase our 2024 Composer-in-Residence Kevin Day and include two world premieres: Transit for soprano and string quartet written for this summer’s festival by Kevin, and his new arrangement of Astor Piazzolla’s Oblivion. Rounding out the program are Maurice Ravel’s beloved String Quartet and Kevin Day’s Birds in the Cathedral.

Admission includes a complementary three wine tasting specially paired to the musical program. Ticket prices are inclusive of all handling and processing fees.

Following the concert, food and additional wine will be available for purchase to enjoy on the beautiful terrace of Appassionata Estate.
