Michael Nowak and the Santa Maria Phil proudly present: ‘Vivaldi Four Seasons’ on Friday, December 5, 2025, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm, atThe First United Methodist Church.
Vivaldi’s iconic work celebrates each season of the year, with pictorial effects depicting bird calls, flowing streams, ice, wind and storms, as well as barking dogs and more. First published in 1775, this remarkable storytelling through music remains popular 250 years later.
Also on this program is the deeply expressive and devotional work by Lauridsen, O Magnum Mysterium, which reflects on the mystery of the Nativity. The exquisite ‘Ancient Airs and Dances’ by the 20th century Italian composer Respighi, captures the charm and elegance of the courtly dances of an era long ago.
Concertmaster and talented string player, violinist Brynn Albanese, will help embody the spirit and joy of the Baroque for our December performance and will fill the hall with beauty and cheer.
There will be a pre-concert lecture that will enhance your enjoyment and understanding of the music. This Pre-Concert Lecture is FREE and open to all concert goers. The lecture will be held just before the concert, beginning at 6:50PM and ending at 7:10PM.
