About this Event
This presentation provides an overview of Eversource’s involvement in three major offshore wind projects—South Fork Wind, Revolution Wind, and Sunrise Wind—highlighting how offshore wind development supports the growing energy needs of the U.S. Northeast. The session begins with a brief discussion of why offshore wind is an attractive renewable resource for the Northeast coastline, followed by a comprehensive visual walkthrough of the construction progression for both onshore and offshore project components.
Using extensive construction photography, the presentation illustrates key phases of development, including onshore infrastructure, cable installation, offshore foundation work, and overall project execution. The presentation also compares and contrasts notable design differences across the three projects and discusses how those differences influenced construction methods, execution strategies, and project controls considerations.
Attendees will gain practical insights into the real world execution of large scale offshore wind projects and lessons applicable to capital project delivery and project controls.
