Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals is a 16-hour preparatory course for applying to the Illinois StatePolice for a Concealed Carry Permit. You will begin with the NRA Basic Pistol Course, followed by the USCCA Concealed Carry & Home Defense Fundamentals course.

Over 1 million students have taken the U.S. Concealed Carry Association’s course offerings across the nation. Concealed Carry and Home Defense Fundamentals is a comprehensive classroom course for anyone considering owning or carrying a firearm for self-defense. If you are new to handguns, this is a great introduction to everything you need to know to start your self-protection journey.
This course is a complete guide to understanding the basics of firearms ownership, safety, and nomenclature, and
how it applies to home- or self-defense. After this class, students will feel confident acting as their family’s first line of defense in the event of a home invasion or other critical incident. These are small classes with a maximum of 12 people. They are scheduled so that the participants can attend around their busy schedules. Families and couples are encouraged to attend all together. We cover all the required material for the
Illinois Concealed Carry process. The small class size allows for an interactive learning environment.
Private classes are available for individuals, couples, and families.
Bring to your class: Handgun (if you do not own your own you will be provided one for practicing skills and
qualifying) Ammunition is not allowed in the classroom however you will
need a minimum of 50 rounds at the range, Ball Cap, Eye Protection,
and Hearing Protection. Your instructors are licensed by the Illinois
State Police, certified by both the NRA and USCCA.
