Concealed Handgun Refresher Course

This is a 2-3 hour course that meets the new state training requirements for renewing your Colorado Concealed Handgun Permit and is taught by Verified/Certified Douglas County Instructors. This course is designed for all Colorado Conceal Carry requirements that went into effect July 1, 2025.

Participants In this class will:

1. Be made aware of changes in Colorado gun laws.
2. Take part in classroom drills so instructors can verify that participants are following all safety rules and are using sound firearm fundamentals.
3. Spend 1 hour in the classroom where a written test will be administered that participants must achieve a score of 80% or higher on.
4. Spend 1 hour on the range completing a mandatory shooting qualifier during which each participant will shoot 50 rounds of ammunition and must score a hit rate of 70% to receive a certificate of completion. (35 out of 50 rounds on target)

Required Equipment:

• A signed range waiver (link located at top of page)
• Handgun, preferably semiautomatic, chambered in any caliber
• 1 empty magazine (if using a semiautomatic)
• 50 rounds of ammunition (available for purchase if needed)
• Eye protection
• Ear protection

Cost: $85.00 per person – Cost includes classroom instruction, range time and certificate of completion.
