About this Event

15 Years and 1,000+ Immigrant Youth Leaders

The Dream Summer fellowship, housed in the UCLA Labor Center, positions immigrant youth as agents of change within the immigrant rights movement. Dream Summer provides a transformative space that challenges fellows to think critically about the intersecting issues impacting our communities, including social, economic, and racial justice. Through leadership development, advocacy training, and community building, immigrant young leaders are able to reflect on their unique strengths and recognize their inherent value as trailblazers for immigrant rights.

Over the past 15 years, Dream Summer has built an alumni network of over 1,000 immigrant rights leaders—awarding more than $6 million to fellows and partnering with over 265 social justice organizations nationwide.

Joy Through Local Music, Art, and Vendors

Join us Saturday, Oct. 10 from 1-6 PM for "Con Amor a Los Angeles," a vibrant community event designed to bring our immigrant community together for a joyful, celebratory storytelling space.

Hear a variety of musical performances, walk through an art gallery, and visit a series of vendors—all of whom are committed to uplifting immigrant solidarity and youth leadership.

Each featured guest has a connection to the 15th anniversary celebration, whether through direct participation in the fellowship as a participant or host organization, or lived experience with immigration.

Donations from the event will fund one Dream Summer fellow in the 2027 cohort, in its entirety—ensuring that a wider variety of individuals and organizations are able to participate in the annual fellowship, regardless of financial constraints.

Supporting the Next Generation of Social Justice Leaders

The UCLA Labor Center's national Dream Summer fellowship empowers immigrant youth to become the next generation of social justice leaders through leadership development, movement building, and hands-on experience with mission-driven organizations. It creates safe and healing spaces for immigrant youth to connect, explore their identities, and build community. With an intersectional, cross-racial, and multi-generational approach, the Dream Summer fellowship addresses the diverse needs of immigrant communities.

Your support will help us power the next 15 years of the Dream Summer fellowship. Give now.
