About this Event
COMS - The Community Managers Summit is a one-day, in-person gathering for people working across community, experience, and operations in coworking. It offers space to pause, reflect, and work through how community is actually built and maintained, through facilitated conversations and practical exercises rooted in real workplace situations.
After hosting our first edition at Projects in Brighton, this second edition will take place in a setting that feels just as considered. COMS will be hosted at Monday Pau, one of Monday’s most central Barcelona locations. We have long appreciated the work the Monday team does around community, experience, and care for members, and it strongly resonates with the values on which COMS is built.
Hosting the summit with them feels like a natural continuation of the conversations we want to hold.
During the day, you will:
- Explore how hospitality principles show up in community work in small, repeatable moments rather than big gestures.
- Work through concrete tools, frameworks, and examples you can adapt to your own space.
- Learn alongside peers who understand the emotional, operational, and relational reality of the role.
- Revisit what “success” in community really means, and how to talk about it in a way that feels honest and useful.
The summit is designed to leave you clearer, more grounded, and better equipped, not overloaded with ideas, but supported with perspective, language, and practices you can carry back into your work.
Who Should Attend
COMS is designed for people working inside coworking organisations, across community, experience, and operations functions.
This includes:
- Community Managers and Heads of Community responsible for day-to-day relationships, culture, and belonging
- Member Experience, Workplace Experience, and Hospitality-led teams shaping how people feel, move, and interact in the space
- Operations and General Managers involved in systems, standards, and scalable service delivery
- Coworking founders and operators who stay close to the member experience and community strategy
- Programming, engagement, and activation leads designing rhythms, events, and shared moments
The summit is especially relevant if your work sits at the intersection of people, space, and systems, where community is not a “nice-to-have,” but something you are expected to deliver, explain, and sustain over time.
If you are responsible for how members experience a coworking space, emotionally, operationally, and relationally, COMS is designed for you.
What You’ll Take Back With You
Practical tools, not theory: Shared frameworks, examples, and working templates you can adapt and apply in your own space without needing to “start from scratch.”
- Peer-led learning: Time and space for thoughtful exchange with practitioners from different countries and contexts, focused on what actually works, what doesn’t, and why.
- Hospitality-informed experience design: A closer look at how hospitality principles translate into everyday community moments from first contact to long-term membership.
- Operational clarity: Conversations around programming rhythms, onboarding, retention, and scale, with attention to how systems can support community without flattening it.
- Meaningful connections: The opportunity to build relationships with people who understand the realities of community work and continue the conversation beyond the day itself.
Event Format
What will the summit look like in practice? Expect a working and collaborative day, shaped with the people in the room.
Once you register, you will receive a short onboarding questionnaire. This helps us understand your role, context, and the challenges you are currently navigating, so the programme can be built around real situations rather than assumptions.
On the day itself, the format blends:
- Facilitated workshops and small-group conversations, grounded in the realities of coworking and workplace teams
- Peer exchange, with an emphasis on listening, shared experience, and practical insight
- Concrete tools and shared resources, introduced through use and discussion rather than presentation
There are no keynotes, panels, or sales pitches. Instead, the day is structured to support collaboration, reflection, and practical problem-solving with enough guidance to create focus, and enough openness to let meaningful conversations emerge.
Why This Matters Now
Community teams in coworking and workplace spaces are operating in fast-evolving environments. COMS equips professionals not just to survive but to lead, innovate, and design experiences that strengthen member loyalty, deepen belonging, and drive meaningful growth.
Grow your practice. Expand your impact. Build space cultures that last.
