Get coding and making on a Saturday at our monthly programming club for children. New this autumn: unaccompanied session for ages 11-14 at the Science Oxford Centre!Get coding and learn to drive remote control robots at this month's coding club for ages 11-14. Using BBC micro:bits and Python text-based coding, create a radio controller to send instructions to your robot! Take our Robo-Challenge and drive the robots around the space, avoiding obstacles and each other!
Suitable for ages 11-14 children who are currently in school years 7-9.
These workshops are unaccompanied. Adult/s are welcome to wait in the café area of the Science Oxford Centre during the session. All club attendees need a ticket.
Our unaccompanied workshops are designed for young people to work on projects that interest them alongside their peers. Led by our expert club leaders, try out bespoke activities designed to provide science-inspired fun challenges. There is a different theme each week so we and you are always learning something new!
What is included in your ticket:
90 minute club session for one child
Access to:
- Access to the woodland and outdoor areas from 10am–5pm (last entry 4.30pm)
- Access to the Water Lab (change of clothes or water proofs recommended) from 10am–5pm
- Parking (limited availability)
What is NOT included:
Access to the Exploration Zone
Event Details
Science Oxford Centre café is open from 10am-4pm. Families are welcome to bring picnics and snacks to eat at our lunch tables.
