[COMPRENDRE] L'architecture dans le monde islamique

Muslim Architecture has been a point of interest for several scholars, artists, and critics, for its fascinating use of arches, towers, and geometric patterns. The presentation by Brunissande Cabrol will be in two parts.

First a general presentation of the main characteristics of Islamic arts and the context in which they quickly developed

And then, focus on large architectural movements where each monument is designed for a specific reason (like Isfahan, Samarkand, Cordoba).

Brunissande Cabrol is a third year student of Art History at École du Louvre, specializing in Islamic Art.
