In 2022, almost 24% of the solid waste going into the Dubuque landfill was organic material that could have been composted. Find out how you can make a difference by attending our Composting Workshop where you'll also have the option to sign up to purchase a home compost bin.
Join us for the night as we learn about waste reduction, through the art of composting. Learn how to compost at home, how we compost at work, and the environmental impact of composting. Bev Wagner from Dubuque Metropolitan Area Solid Waste Agency will be presenting further information and sharing community resources.
Demos on different composting methods will include:
* Home compost bins - sign up to purchase
* DIY compost bins
* ‎‎Vermicomposting (composting with worms)
* Curbside composting
