Compline Service – "Dawn"

Dawn invites us to look to the horizon of Advent and beyond. It is a moment suspended between darkness and daybreak, where the shadows of uncertainty meet the promise of new beginnings. In this service, we embrace the hush of evening as an opportunity to prepare our hearts for the coming of Christ, the Light of the world, who breaks through the darkness with unwavering love.
The Compline Choir, featuring sixteen of Dallas' finest vocalists, offers a truly unique choral experience by embracing one of the oldest Divine Offices in the Christian tradition: Compline. Rooted in the Book of Common Prayer, this ensemble presents a thoughtfully curated 30-minute service that weaves together diverse choral music and readings, creating a tranquil moment of reflection for all.
Join us in the main sanctuary of Saint Michael and All Angels, located off Douglas Avenue. Doors will open to a serene, candlelit atmosphere at 6:30 p.m., with the service commencing at 7 p.m.
