From former Alvin Ailey dancers Dwight Rhoden and Desmond Richards, “two of the greatest virtuosos to emerge from Ailey” (The New York Times), Complexions Contemporary Ballet thrills with its cadre of 16 stunning dancers. Their debut Hylton Center program opens with selections from Retro-Suite, a series of short works celebrating 30 years as a company, and the second half is Star Dust, a transfixing tribute to the life and music of David Bowie. Inspired by his unique personas, this ballet takes an array of Bowie's hits and artistically creates a rock opera style production in his honor.
