Afin de sonder les pratiques artistiques contemporaines qui vont au-delà du visible, PHI a invité chimie à imaginer et animer une série d’ateliers olfactifs en résonance avec les œuvres de nos trois expositions d’automne-hiver 2025-2026: Josèfa Ntjam, Manuel Mathieu et Keiken.
Dans le cadre de chaque atelier, les participant·e·s sont invité·e·s à apporter un ou deux objets parfumés à partager avec le groupe – parfums, huiles, encens, épices, thés ou tout autre élément porteur d’odeur ou d’histoire.
Aucune expérience préalable en parfumerie n’est nécessaire – tou·te·s sont les bienvenu·e·s! Vous pouvez participer à un seul atelier ou vivre l’expérience complète des cinq. À vous de choisir!

Inspiré des éléments tactiles et multisensoriels des expositions de la saison, cet atelier explorera l’odeur comme une forme de texture – quelque chose qu’on ne peut pas toucher, mais que l’on ressent avec intensité et complexité.

In the spirit of exploring contemporary artistic practices that go beyond the visible, PHI has invited chimie to imagine and facilitate a series of scent workshops in dialogue with our fall-winter 2025-2026 exhibitions: Josefa Ntjam, Manuel Mathieu, and Keiken.
As part of each workshop, participants are asked to bring one or two scented objects to share with the group, whether perfumes, oils, incense, spices, teas, or anything else with a scent or story.
No prior experience with perfume is needed—all are welcome! You can sign up for just one workshop or experience the full series of five. It’s entirely up to you!
Inspired by 𝘚𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘺 𝘖𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘭 by Keiken, we’ll follow our noses into speculative worlds. What does utopia smell like? What new visions might scent unlock?
