You're invited to attend Company Theatre's 2026 Annual General Meeting! On Monday 2nd February we'll have drinks, nibbles, and a bit of a socialise from 7:30pm - with our formal meeting starting at 8pm.One minor point to get out of the way at this AGM will be approving Company Theatre's proposed new constitution: To keep us in line with new legislation as an Incorporated Society. Our proposed constitution can be found at the following web address, and will be uploaded to this event along with the AGM's agenda - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1E_w6V-lCkvOn8usQ74hbzHAeXvfxzfYw/view?usp=sharing
At this meeting we'll also report on what we did in 2025, discuss our plans for 2026, field suggestions and questions, and welcome any interest in getting involved with Company Theatre. If you're keen on acting, set building, sound & lighting, costuming, promotions, ushering, or any of the many other parts of putting on a show - including watching them - please feel free to introduce yourself! There will also be a space available on our committee if administration gets your blood pumping.
Our AGM will be held in the Company Room of Belmont's Rose Centre - upstairs at the back of the building. Company Theatre is the Rose Centre's resident theatre company: Each year we stage three major productions in this awesome venue.
Our 2026 plays will be:
1) "Once on Chunuk Bair" by Maurice Shadbolt from 9th to 23rd May - directed by Paul Roukchan. We're still looking to fill a few younger male roles in this WWI ANZAC drama set on Gallipoli Peninsula, so if you're interested & under 30, please drop Paul a line at [email protected]!
2) "Les Liaisons Dangereuses", an illustration of French upper class corruption & depravity written by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos in 1782 and adapted for the stage by Christopher Hampton. This will be directed by Reg Williams & on stage from August 15th to 29th!
3) Alan Bennett's "The Lady in the Van", on stage from 14th to 28th November and directed by Sian Davis. This is the touching, humorous & mostly true story of Alan's interactions with an elderly woman who lived in a dilapidated van on his driveway in north London for 15 years.
