About this Event
Join Wiradjuri artist Jodie Munday, for a six-week Community Weaving program grounded in cultural knowledge, creativity and connection to Country. Jodie’s practice draws on skills, stories and techniques that continue to be shared and adapted today.
Across six weeks, participants will learn traditional and contemporary weaving techniques while gaining insight into the cultural role of weaving as a shared practice — a way of coming together to exchange knowledge, stories and experiences across generations. Each session offers time to slow down, work with your hands and engage.
Community Weaving is open to all ages and abilities, whether you’re new to weaving or looking to deepen an existing practice. All materials are provided, and the program offers a welcoming, inclusive space to learn, create and connect.
