Join us Friday, September 11, for the Battle of 370 and Community Unity Food Drive as Gretna High and Gretna East come together to support local students through the Gretna Public Schools Foundation Weekend Backpack Program.
This year’s game falls on the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Before kickoff, our community will come together to remember and honor the lives lost and the courage, compassion, and unity that followed. We invite you to carry that spirit of togetherness into the game by giving back to Gretna students and families.
Bring a nonperishable food item or monetary donation to the game. Every donation supports the GPS Foundation's Weekend Backpack Program, which provides supplemental weekend food support to Gretna students and families.

Canned fruit
Canned vegetables
Canned pasta sauce
Pasta
Microwave popcorn
Peanut butter
Jelly
Canned tuna
You’ll also find some of our school PTOs and Booster Clubs at the game, offering opportunities to connect, learn more about the work happening across our schools, and, in some cases, purchase items supporting their programs. It’s another way to celebrate the people and organizations that make our school community strong.
Whether you're cheering for Gretna High or Gretna East, Community Unity gives us a chance to come together around something bigger than the game.
Game starts at 7 p.m., gates open at 5:30 p.m.
