COMMUNITY THEATER GROUP MEETING

Come out and be a part of the Community Theater group. Seeking members so that we can get started performing original plays that are about everyday issues.

The plays shed light on some of the things we tend to ignore: sort of sweep it under the rug rather than address. I know, being African America/Black, there are a number of issues we sidestep because of family culture, religion and other reasons. I find these things can move from childhood/young adulthood on into our adult years and cause us problems.

By doing the play I try to shed a positive light on some of the issues and show that it is not just you who has this issue, or that a certain thing happened to. It is not just your family who had or has issues. Others have the same issues.

So Let's say we address the issues and lead a happier and healthier life in 2025

Nice speech, and I wish it were as simple as that. I do hope and pray that once we start our performances that each person who attends one of the plays walk away with something positive from having been in the audience.

So come out and become a member. Get in on the ground floor of what I know is going to be an asset to people and the community on a whole. Come out and hear our mission for the theater group as well as the community. Ages 17 years and up.
