Join the 5th annual Community Strong Race Weekend. This event is designed to raise desperately needed funds and bring awareness to mental health challenges in our community.Our event will consist of a variety of races throughout the weekend, so everyone can participate no matter their running experience. All funds raised stay local and will support the AFS Foundation in its mission to support mental health in Sault Ste. Marie and the Algoma District.
2026 Race Details
All races start and finish in front of the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre at 50 Pim St. in Sault Ste. Marie.

Race Kit Pick-Up: 5:00 PM- 7:00 PM at Northern Superior Tap Room
Sault Striders Community Run Start: 6:30PM
Saturday, June 20, 2026
10 KM Start: 8:00 AM
Kids Fun Run Start: 9:30 AM
Colour Run Start: 10:00 AM
Sunday, June 21, 2026
Marathon (Boston Qualifier) Start: 6:00 AM
Half-Marathon Start: 6:30 AM
