Community Sound Bath in Barking & Dagenham

Welcome to an evening as we journey through a mediative Gong Bath and will be ending on together through journalling/drawing with reflections & prayers.

These sessions will be hosted by local resident Jaha Browne a Healing Artist, part of their new sound project which is being funded by the creative access grant from Barking & Dagenham Council.

Jaha is exploring prayers in sound and is spending the coming months speaking with residents to find out what prayer means to them, not just in a religious context but how we reflect and share our thoughts/prayers in our life. Jaha will be creating a deep medative sound journey to explore this and recording participants reflection and prayers that will be woven into a deep listening sound docuemtary which will be exhibited at Eastbury Manor House in early 2025.

We will open up a sharing circle where we will set our intentions for the rest of the session and share our reflections of how we are feeling during this time, offering our prayers for either ourselves, community or globally.

Those who are in the first trimester of pregnancy are not advised to take part in this event.

Due to the nature of these special workshops you will be consenting to Jaha documenting these sessions with photogprahy/film on her mobile phone and recording everyones audio refelctions. Jaha will be keeping everyone updated with the project and The Sound In Prayer Exhibiton will be at Eastbury Manor House early 2025.
